TOKYO (Reuters) – Japan’s economy contracted at an annualised clip of 2.9% in July-September from the previous quarter, even worse than the preliminary quote of a 2.1% drop, federal government information revealed on Friday.
The modified figure for gdp (GDP) launched by the Cabinet Workplace compared to economic experts’ typical projection for a 2.0% decrease in a Reuters survey.
On a quarter-on-quarter basis, GDP diminished 0.7%, compared to the preliminary 0.5% drop reading and a mean projection for a 0.5% fall.
