Kitchen area of the Week: Family-Friendly With European-Inspired Design

This home in North Vancouver, British Columbia, had ultimate 1990s design, and its brand-new house owners were searching for something more structured and European-inspired. “When I initially inquired about their design, they stated, ‘Whatever this is, we desire the opposite,'” designer Lori Steeves states. In addition, the couple, who are both from Europe, had 2 kindergartners and a pet dog, and the kitchen area and living room required to work well for the entire household.

After speaking more thoroughly with the couple and studying their Houzz ideabooks, the designer provided the kitchen area a Belgian farmhouse-inspired appearance. The brand-new area, open up to the living room, works as the center of the hectic family, and Steeves supplied family-friendly event areas where they like to hang around.
