In J&J Sun Block Settlement Appeal, Ted Frank Applies Hot Subject of Standing

Class action critic Ted Frank desires the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit to decipher Johnson & & Johnson’s settlement over its remembered sun block– and he’s utilizing the appeals court’s own arguments to make his case.

In a Wednesday opening quick, Frank, director of the Hamilton Lincoln Law Institute and the Center for Class Action Fairness, firmly insisted that U.S. District Judge Anuraag “Raag” Singhal, of the Southern District of Florida, did not have jurisdiction to authorize the settlement since the lead complainants did not have standing to demand injunctive relief.
