The scholarship is for part-time law trainees who are needed to take summer season courses and face substantial monetary barriers to spending for those summer season systems. The scholarship is called, in honor of the late Joseph R. Lasser (1923-2011), a generous person who cared deeply about access to college. Top priority for the scholarship is provided to trainees who can not obtain through the subsidized federal trainee loan program.
